torn into pieces, 10:58 PM

the left thumb got pricked by a blood contaminated suture needle. im more than paranoid right now. the patient i was assisting is a foreigner from Thailand. Sigh. i had to rush to a&e to get the blood test since the staff clinic was closed. after the quick, express blood taking, i had to rush to the day ward where the patient will be discharge in just a matter of minutes. the reason for all these rushing is that we had to take his blood for testing too. his and my blood will both have to be send to the lab. i was lucky enough that he have not been discharge yet and he agreed to take the blood test. tomorrow, i have to raise ehor (incidence report). addition to that, i heard they will send me for counselling. hehe.

starting from tomorrow onwards im going to learn how to don double gloves and i will put on a mask shield when assisting. ive learnt my lesson. im going to be extra careful the next time. sigh. paranoid. paranoid.

Be in good health first and foremost.. Weigh ermm at least a 40kg.. To do an adv diploma in nursing.. Be an excellent & dedicated perioperative nurse. I want to canoe & rock climbing someday.. To get married! Haha.. Not so soon still..
