theatre isnt so busy today so our nurse manager ask if we want a day off tomorrow..
ape lagi..
like i said, i need a break after that tension period i had recently..
yesterday, i scrub for laparoscopic cholecsytectomy where they use scopes to do the operation..
they make 3 small holes on the stomach and punch 3 trocars into the tiny holes which they will insert the 'maryland', camera and ordinary forcep into the trocars right into the parts they are operating..so the surgeons will look into the tv when doing the op..
this is the simplest explanation i can come out with..
been given feedbacks that i talk alien language..
it was my first time i scrub for scope cases..
i was too tired that it seemed so hard to concentrate..
Janet already gave me that look.. hmm..
but it ended up smoothly..
if you have a calm surgeon, the whole boat will sail smoothly even when you encounter difficulties along the way..
here are some pictures roughly how it is done..
saw that bulging cyst? thats the part they are operating..

the forceps they use to break open the 'ball'
half done..
and im all done about lap chole..
we took pictures at work..
trolley setup for operation.
theatre setup..
i hope that person there have at least an idea how i work after all the trouble i took to draw out theatre floor plan and some setup i took..
