torn into pieces, 8:42 PM

the girls at work were discussing about 'mak mertua'. hmm.. interesting topic. it started with why are mother in laws a pain? i cant help smilling. it begins with stereotyping until we could reason out as to why they are behaving in such a manner. looking into reality, many cannot get along with their mother in law than they can. due to different backgrounds and preferences have sometimes lead to a conflict between this 2 people. when at times mother in law tend to interfere in their son's marriage and stuff by giving unnecessary advices may contribute in a misunderstanding that will then brings just too much problems between the married couple. its like mother in law VS wife. nonetheless, if you have yourself a firm stand husband who can stand for you even after the tsunami have invaded, life would be simpler. but, if you have a husband who is like a baby, get ready to stand firm yourself. i believe a good mother in law will never tell her son to file a divorce in whatever situation. a best mother in law will try talking to the couple and help to sort things out should they seemed to have just too much problems in her eyes. but of course despite the negativity in a mother in law, there are mother in laws who are supportive and easy to get along with. those whom you can go shopping with. those whom can be your friend. and definitely somebody you can respect just like your very own mother. nevertheless, i hope i can get along with mine if i ever get married. being able to build a good rapport with one another right from the start would be a best move. so much about mother in law. =)

that dental surgeon is a Malay. i was shocked when i was told that he is a Malay. as you can see, we hardly have Malay surgeons in the theatre. the fact that he doesnt even look like a Malay at all. i remembered working with him for the first time a few weeks ago. since i hardly does dental cases have made me forget some of the instrument's name. and the fact that i was going through a hard time and 3/4 of the time during his surgery, i dream. poor Dawn had to stand beside me to tell me what to do next whenever he had to repeat his orders. she knows very well my focus isnt there. his first conversation with me was, 'hi. sorry we keep you waiting. whats your name?'
'thats ok. (lain kali datang cepat sikit eh) Ifa.' 'oh! your a Malay.' i paused. his assistance said, 'you mean you didnt look at her? i thought you never missed looking at girls' 'i missed looking at this one because she kept looking down even when im talking to her.' heh. but what really makes me like him is that he is very patient with me. SUPER patient. when he ask for ronger, i was looking down at my trolley deciding which is ronger when he picked it himself and said, 'this is ronger dear. the ugly looking one.' and that makes me smile. not being racist but, im happy that out of that many many surgeons, at least there is a Malay surgeon in the field even if he is just a doctor gigi. hehe

it hurts.
