torn into pieces, 10:20 PM

how nice to be on leave in the middle of the week. =) i have settled most stuff already. the thesis, exams, wedding and the shopping!

before i start, to my man readers, you might want to skip this paragraph. =)
i got myself bras. buying bra makes me happy. yeah. i dont know how bras can make me happy...?? i just like the pretty colours, the feminine designs and the soft fabrics. =) ok enough about bras.

hmm.. some things happened at work yesterday. gosh! the news break my heart. i assisted with removal of keloid over the chest. patient had a cabg done before, due to cabg complications, he developed keloids. the team thought it was a superficial one however, it turns out to be quite deep. i could see his major pectoris. since it was a long and deep incision, i was waiting for Prof to tell me to prepare for split skin graft (ssg), but, he kept stitching. well, i thought Professor knows best when deep in this heart im yelling, 'do the ssg please!! you cant close the wound like that.' in the end, we did not do the ssg. four hours later, patient developed haematoma. Prof was half screaming in the day ward. the nurses ran up and down from the ward to the theatre just to get the necessary consumables he needed. patient had to be sent back to the theatre. honestly, i felt for the patient. i should have voiced out. i should have suggested him to put up the drain at least. if only, i voice it out. i feel so dumb. i should have done my part as patient's advocator.

Be in good health first and foremost.. Weigh ermm at least a 40kg.. To do an adv diploma in nursing.. Be an excellent & dedicated perioperative nurse. I want to canoe & rock climbing someday.. To get married! Haha.. Not so soon still..
