torn into pieces, 8:22 PM

one surgeon tested my patients today. on a Monday!! for the first case!! this is what happened. his assistant was held up thus, he have to start the case with a medical student and me. i have assisted him a few times and all of them are orif. in fact, there was once he listed orif, wrist scope and bone graft all at once to a patient. still, ive assisted that bloody, particular case. he never commented about me until today just because i cant drill for him and i do not know how to use a drill. get me right here. drilling, as i know is the surgeon's responsibility. since when nurses drill for surgeon WITHOUT guidance?? he told me to drill without even asking if i can drill. i told him ive never use the drill before. despite me telling him i cant drill, he insisted i drill for him. i thought he would guide me but, he didnt. on top of all that, he expected me to do a good job with my LEFT hand in an AWKWARD position. look, ive never use a drill on my right hand let alone on the left and expect an EXCELLENT job...?? you go fly a kite! i dont even drill anything at home for crying out loud. i can cook, but, dont expect me to drill without anyone's guidance. he got a little pissed and he told our theatre 3 in charge that i do not know my instruments!! which is... WTH!!

he wanted me to drill the k-wire into the bone. hey, look this is a HUMAN's bone we are operating here. its not your bone or mine we can play with by passing the driver around! in fact, if i drill that fracture, then what are you going to do?? you might as well go home. hence, we dont need doctors, because nowadays, nurses can diagnose patients and in future, nurses can DRILL patients too! so please, im not a MBBS graduate.

if you, doctors want us to drill, you very well guide us how to. for some selfish nurses can simply said drilling is not my job! you better be thankful that i tried my best to help you drill. i was having a terrible backache when i assisted him and had to put on the heavy lead apron. so, unappreaciative. has the cheek to complain some more!

why cant he be like my favourite surgeon. there was once i assisted him with removal of implants and he guided me in removing the screws, making sure i dont break any. if removing screws he can give such a tremendous guidance, what more serious stuff like drilling the bone which i strongly think we need guidance too. i feel like drilling his brain now!

it hurts.
