torn into pieces, 6:52 AM

its great to work in Dr Alph theatre on a Friday. Violet and i just cant stop telling one another how nice he is. a year have passed and i still think he is a nice surgeon to work with. some surgeons are nasty in the beginning but, become nice in the end. probably after they gotten used to us and we have learnt their way of operation.

we discussed about sewing over the op.
'i thought you can sew?'
'i cant. but, erm i am going to enroll sewing classes very soon.'
'thats good.'
'yeah. so that i dont have to rely on others for sewing anymore.'

he laughed.

'so, after this anymore cases?'
'nope. unless, there are additionals.'
'claiming time?'
'i wish i could but, no time to claim. haha.'
'what a waste. its Friday.'
'yeah!'

well, i ended up assigned in the theatre i wanted to avoid so much. theatre 8, orthopaedics. you know how orthopaedics can burn you out. i was rather impatient and i wanted to do things fast. i wanted to clear the camera system out from the theatre so, i told Sowmi, 'Sowmi, could please released the velcro so that i can pull the cables from my end.' so there you go, Dr Jeevan said, 'one minute Sister.' we laughed. i should take a break. really i should. ive been very restless and ive been very impatient because i want things to be done fast and lately, i just cannot tolerate mistakes from myself and my colleagues. Oh God. this is no good. so, next week, its time to calm down and work with a smile. =) i try. Insya'allah.

on Monday, the 3 of us will be assisting the Professors in 3 different theatres. Sowmi will be with the orthopaedics Prof while Winny will be with the Hand Prof and i will be with my cardio thoracic vascular Prof! sometimes, im amazed by how i can find vascular surgeries interesting when, its really fine work here.

most of our vascular patients are renal patients and this give me the opportuntity to relate patient care for renal meds patients as i used to work in renal ward for quite sometime. in fact, i know some of the patients who came for surgery but, ermm, they never recognised me but, i sure know them inside out. =) hence, the whole patient care process makes sense now. its like, this is how AVF is done and this is the reason why we are taught to take care of the fistula that way. and no wonder, the doctors go mad when tecnhkoff catheter got dislodge, this is because, it is not easy to get it in for some patients. everything are done or happened for a reason. =)

have a nice weekend everyone.

it hurts.
