torn into pieces, 9:03 PM

good stuff today. the moment i step into theatre, all cases were cancelled. bagus!

however, in the later part of the afternoon, we had an emergency colorectal case of post haemorrhoidectomy bleeding. it was a P1 case and this patient had about 500ml of blood lost. he was so pale and he was running on 1 pine of blood. he was shivering extremely, to the max. Sister and i received patient at the reception. guess who sent patient up..? Professor and the Adon! cool! looking at the patient that way, dengan pantas, Sister and i pushed the trolley into theatre. once in theatre we had everything set up in seconds!! i am not kidding you. everyone have to be in their toes. Sister and i started coordinating different tasks. reminding one another whenever one of us forgot some stuff.

great team work guys. it feels so exciting. especially when i was really sleepy after lunch that i can sleep walking. so, there goes the adrenaline rush just like toyota rush. =)

imagine if there were delays. patient may die. the blood clots alone can fill your bowl of rice. good stuff. after the case, we thank one another. thats when Sister sounded me, 'i heard you are going to mot.' 'yes, Sister.' she had this sad expression on her face. but, she said, 'i am happy for you but, we will lose you.' she really can make me cry after that. i am no good and i will be learning from scratch in major ot. back to square one. but, i am happy because this is what i want and this is what i want to do and i know Insya'allah i will do it right. more or less, i am ready to face this big challenge in hope that i will cry less. =)

the girls have been trying extremely hard to get my caps. they said before i leave from dsot, i must give them the caps they like as a goodbye gift. oh boy! hahaha. i love my caps and i love them too. tough call. =)

sigh.

Be in good health first and foremost.. Weigh ermm at least a 40kg.. To do an adv diploma in nursing.. Be an excellent & dedicated perioperative nurse. I want to canoe & rock climbing someday.. To get married! Haha.. Not so soon still..
