torn into pieces, 7:23 PM

i was at work this morning and had to helped out in major theatre as well. we explored the place. my sidekick brought me to cardio theatre and explained all that she knows about cardio theatre. wow!! serious stuff. i saw the machines. the 'temporary machine'. this machine will take over the function of these organs, the heart and lungs during the operation. sounds scary in the beginning but, im sure its not as scary when it have become routine. we were told to run a case for them in theatre 14.

when i entered theatre 14, my first impression was, kenapa theatre nye macam gini? alamakk hitam2. iodine spots. i am sorry. i understand that staff in major theatre are busy people unlike us. sigh. even still, whenever, Sister came back from mot, ada je nak compare2. cet!

andd.. i wonder... how am i going to work here...? hmm. not bragging but, i am the organised neat sort of person. hmm. but never mind.

when i asked one of the staff about which discpline are short of staff now. she said orthopaedics. oh boy! i do not know if my luck and fate is with the orthopaedics team. especially, lately, i have been assisting many general surgeries inclusive of plastics, paeds, colorectal, breast and urology because, GS staffing here is running low thus, as always, i have to cover them just like when the orthos are short, some of us have to cross cover.

Winny's posting is out in major theatre. well Winny, learn fast, pick up fast, never give up. if you decided to leave someday, you are in great demand. you can earn 5k in a snap. but, of course, you must be good. i may not have any luck in open heart surgeries but you have. =) embrace the new working environment and no politics involvement. =) and i will soon follow you in a month time.

the colleagues at work are teasing me saying that in 3 years time, i'll become Sister Ifa. seriously, there are 2 things i never thought of. becoming a nurse manager and going to private practice. although, Winny and i often joke to one another after we heard Tc Tan said, 'JK and i used to travel a lot together when i was overseas.' so, she said, 'Sister Ifa and i are travel buddies.' =P

well, even if i am in the orthopaedics, what makes anyone think that a small girl like me cannot do ortho..? well, of course i do not know how spines, traumas, total knee replacements are like but, i can always learn.

wow. this is it. the real and bigger picture of surgery. the challenging life as a perioperative nurse. in day surgery, the juniors double up with me. in mot soon, i will double up with someone else. =)

this is what i want and i shouldn't turn back. everyone is encouraging. come on Ifa. i dont deny i am a bit chicken out but, i'll be fine. its just that.... i dont really like changes. =) i dont really like my life to change same like i can't be forever 22 until i found my man. heh. life changes and people moved on.

talking about moved on. i hope a friend clear out her head and come back to spend a few more days with us before she leaves. man are 'like that' by nature. leave them alone. you'll feel so much better for awhile without man. no heartache.

my sidekick asked where was i heading to after work. i dare not tell her i was going to spend the afternoon on my own. she'll think i am insane. whilst, i was heading to my new spot guess who i saw...? Dr Assim and children. apa lagi... cabut!!! hehee.

it hurts.

Be in good health first and foremost.. Weigh ermm at least a 40kg.. To do an adv diploma in nursing.. Be an excellent & dedicated perioperative nurse. I want to canoe & rock climbing someday.. To get married! Haha.. Not so soon still..
